Another Holistic Doctor Murdered In Violent Machete Attack

DHAKA – A village doctor, known for his progressive holistic views, was murdered by ISIS terrorist using machetes and riding in on motorcycles. The murder took place in the  western district of Kushtia, which is located 150 miles outside of Dhaka. Mir Sanaur Rahman, 55, was a homeopathic doctor who was very popular in the small village town. ISIS has taken full responsibility, according to the Huffington Post.

Police could find no reason to believe that the murder was done by a direct enemy, they more focused on the idea that Rahman was a homeopathic doctor.

Police were checking whether the victims had any particular enemies or if other factors could have been a motive but media reported associates of the doctorsaying he had a reputation for progressive views. Friends of the wounded university teacher said he too was known for being progressive-minded.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the killing, the U.S.-based monitoring service SITE said, quoting the militant group’s Amaq news agency.

This murder is being seen as a part of a series of attacks by Islamists in the majority-Muslim nation. Tension in the region is high following this particularly gruesome murder of a doctor who helped save lives using homeopathic remedies.
