Ben Carson ‘Not Fair For [Transgender People] To Make Everybody Else Uncomfortable’

Ben Carson is staying the path when it comes to speaking his mind. The Republican Nominee, often noted for his reserved demeanor during debates, suggested that Transgender people use separate bathrooms.

“How about we have a transgender bathroom?” Carson asked when Ramos asked him about the now-defeated ordinance. When the host asked him if that’s his solution, Carson said. “Sure, absolutely.”

“It is not fair for [transgender people] to make everybody else uncomfortable,” Carson said. “It’s one of the things that I don’t particularly like about the [LGBT] movement. I think everybody has equal rights, but I’m not sure that anybody should have extra rights — extra rights when it comes to redefining everything for everybody else and imposing your view on everybody else.”

The issue is becoming more and more complicated as the Transgender side seems to be pushing ultimately for universal rights. But the fact is, you are either a man or a woman, it really isn’t negotiable, so Carson does have a point. This isn’t a matter of stripping away rights from a group, its a matter of not allowing one group to trample on everyone else’s rights. Where does it end?
