Actor Alec Baldwin isn’t holding back when it comes to his opinions on the matter of climate change. In fact, Baldwin believes that if you don’t see things as he does, you have a form of “mental illness.”
Baldwin is part of a group of indigenous world leaders (yes, I know) who have gathered in New York to sign a new climate deal. According to Fox News, Baldwin demanded a halt on deforestation. But it was his interview following his speech that had people talking.
“There can be no successful climate agreement and no future for our planet without greater protection of the world’s forests. Everyone in the room understands this,” Baldwin said during an appearance at the UN.ADVERTISEMENT
In an interview with AFP, Baldwin also had some strong words for the people who don’t agree with his climate change agenda.
“So much of what’s going on now is something that we have to treat as like it’s a mental illness,” Baldwin said. “I believe that climate change denial is a form of mental illness.”
